The Circulator Boot™
is a cardio-synchronous compression therapy system for
treating arterial insufficiency in the legs and feet.
The system controller unit includes an ECG monitor that detects the patient's heart beat to control the compression timing.
Treat and Cure Ischemic and Infected Ulcers
The Circulator Boot is the primary method used by leading clinics for
healing chronic ulcers and reducing pain caused by vascular
has been commonly used in the past, but is now out-of-favor
because of increased disability and poor outcomes.
Boot works by producing increased blood circulation
to the extremities.
It is effective for ischemic foot ulcers, rest pain, claudication, threatened gangrene, insufficient blood supply to an amputation site, neuropathy, nocturnal leg cramps, arterial emboli, necrobiosis diabeticorum, and chronic lymph edema. It is contra indicated for patients at risk for pulmonary emboli.
Treat and Cure POTS
The Circulator Boot™ has been shown to be effective for treating dysautonomia which is a disorder of the autonomic nervous system. This includes postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS). The symptoms of POTS are fainting and rapid increase in heart rate when standing up. The short compression pulses provide a direct benefit to the capillaries in the legs and to the nerves that control peripheral blood flow.
The treatment configuration is two mini boots or two long boots to provide cardio synchronous compression to both legs. This works to correct the deficits in the autonomic nervous system that are the underlying cause of POTS.
Home treatment with a Circulator Boot set is the most practical approach for treating POTS. During a series of Circulator Boot treatment sessions regular tests of autonomic response are conducted to monitor progress.
