Where
fast response is essential, such as for a real estate
transaction, a two day test will normally determine whether or
not the house meets the Health Canada radon guideline of 200 Bq/m3
guidelines.

Soil
Gas Radon

By
burying LLT E-PERM detectors
(with an "L" chamber and Long-Term electret) in
water-resistant enclosures, you can measure the radon activity
in the soil at sampling points in a tract of land.
Radon-Emanating
Radium from Soil and building Materials
It is well known that the main source of indoor radon is
the soil upon which the building is constructed and to some
extent upon the building materials. By enclosing a known amount
of the material in
a radon leaktight container and measuring the radon
concentration over a period of time using an E-PERM radon
monitor, it is possible to measure the radon-emanating radium
concentration of the material. The same container used for
making radon in water measurements may be used for this application.
