The
measurement of radon flux from the ground or other surfaces is
useful for determining the radon emanating potential of a
building site or to meet regulatory measurement requirements for
uranium mill tailings or gypsum stacks. When the E-PERM
Flux Monitor is placed on a radon emanating surface, the radon
enters through its window and exits through the vents.
With
a typical exposure time of 8 hours, a flux measurement can be
completed on the same day. A steel ring around the edge of the
flux monitor is intended to be pushed into the soil surface to
allow for uneven surface conditions.
